Springrates and Stefan Parsons shoot for the moon in Nashville
Mooresville, N.C. (June 14th, 2021) – Stefan Parsons and BJ McLeod Motorsports (BJMM) will adorn Dogecoin, the cryptocurrency company, on the No.99 along with primary sponsor, Springrates, at NASCAR’s inaugural race at Nashville Superspeedway for the Xfinity Series race.
“I was in awe of the support we received from the #dogearmy after the Las Vegas race,” said founder and CEO of Springrates, Sean Taylor. “Our car was like a rocket prior to a race-ending electrical issue. Despite this, we received so many thankful messages from supporters along with merchandise flying off the shelves. I instantly knew we had to bring the car back to give the Dogecoin community a better showing.”
Back in March, the cryptocurrency made its NXS debut on-board the No. 99 with BJ McLeod Motorsports and Parsons at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Before that entry, the last time Dogecoin was adorned on a NASCAR racecar was in 2014, when users in an online Dogecoin community brought attention to the lack of sponsorship for Josh Wise, who at the time drove the No. 98 in the Sprint Cup Series.
“When we announced that we were going to have Dogecoin on the Vegas car back in March, I was overwhelmed with the positive feedback and support from the Doge community,” said Stefan Parsons. “I could not believe how many people from across the world came together on social platforms to support the car and it just goes to show how strong the dogecoin community is! Ever since then, I’ve been waiting for the day that we get to have Dogecoin back on the car.”
In 22 starts in the NXS, Parsons has an average start of 32.9 and an average finish of 25.1. His best finish of the 2021 season was at Daytona International Speedway, where he finished in the 13th position.
